Couples Massage

Carried to hotel suites and private apartments across Amsterdam, at the same figure by day and by night.

A booking for two guests, served by two therapists at once, the city-break order, placed mostly from suites. The desk pairs the two women, times the two sessions to land together, and settles the geometry of the room in advance, so that the only decision left to the two of you is who takes the window side.

The Technique, Taken Slowly

Couples Massage, from origin to afterglow.

01 Where it comes fromOrigin Treating two people in one room is resort logic imported to the city. The destination spas of the nineties sold the shared treatment as the point of the holiday, and hotels learned that couples would rather stay upstairs together than be scheduled apart downstairs. The in-room version simply finishes the thought, the suite was always the better venue.
02 How the hands workTechnique Two independent sessions, one shared clock. Each therapist works her own guest in her own register, one side may take firm and classical while the other takes slow and light, but tempo and finish stay coordinated throughout, managed by glance rather than by speech. The pairing itself is arranged at the desk beforehand, from women accustomed to working the same room.
03 In the roomWhat to expect The pair arrive as a single visit and set two stations: twin beds as they stand, or the bed plus a folding table that travels up in its own case. The sessions run side by side rather than in sequence, each paced against the other, and both are brought to a close within the same minute. Talking across the room is allowed; sleeping through the second half is common and taken as a compliment.
04 Who it suitsAnd who it does not Couples marking something, couples mid city break, and any two travellers who like each other enough to share a quiet hour. A suite helps; a standard double with floor space manages.
05 What it leavesAfterwards An evening neither of you spent waiting for the other, and the odd, pleasant discovery of being equally unwound, equally quiet, at exactly the same moment.

Asked Before Booking

Plainly answered.

Do we have to choose the same form of massage?

No, and most couples don't. One station can run firm and conventional while the other runs slow and sensual; the two therapists match their clocks, not their strokes. Name each side's preference when you write and the desk sends the right pairing.

How much space does the second station really need?

About the footprint of an opened suitcase, for the folding table and the room to walk its long sides. Most doubles manage it once a chair is moved; every suite does. Tell the desk your room category and you will get a plain answer rather than an optimistic one.

Do the two therapists come through the lobby together?

As one visit, yes, or sixty seconds apart where the building makes a pair conspicuous. They will have agreed the running order before the knock, so the session starts promptly instead of beginning with a conference.
