Not for the view, although the view does its part at night, but for the geometry. This is the one form on our card that genuinely needs a room built this century: clear passage down both flanks of the bed, heating that answers within minutes, and a lift that can deliver two visitors without ceremony.
Vanessa and Karolina are both based south of the ring, which is no accident; the desk keeps its four-hand capacity where the four-hand rooms are. They travel separately and converge at the tower within the same window, come up together or a minute apart depending on the building's temperament, and by the time the door closes the running order has already been agreed between them on the way. The guest sees none of the machinery. The guest sees two women arrive, and the session begin.
In a snug double, four-hand work is a compromise conducted around furniture.
